carolinachrissy: Oh, I want Smell-O-Vision

Hi from Germany!!! My cousin moved to Minnesota and was ice fishing last week! Today he and his lovely family are enjoying 76 degrees in lovely San Diego. I saw a photo on Facebook tonight of them in a Mexican restaurant, and told him he NEEDED to take his family to El Indio, then I gave him the link to your restaurant! So now, here I am in southwestern Germany, near the French border, without any great authentic Mexican food or beautiful, balmy weather, salivating over your lovely website, remembering the last time I was "home", smelling those delightful discs of gooey corn jumping and bumping down the conveyor belt toward their final end in a mondo pile (in a basket?) waiting to be bagged and taken home by one of us hungry trekkers to that little taco shop on India Street. OK, this is enough torture for one night. I MUST sign off and hope that sweet dreams fall upon my mind with delightful tastes and smells from years gone by to satisfy my desire for your delicious food. Chicago Gal: Vacation

We visited San Diego last summer for 4 days and ate at El Indio's 3 times!! The food is fabulous, I only wish I could have it shipped to my home outside of Chicago. We will be back, I can guarantee it!

I grew up eating at El indio, and miss it so much! I currently live on the other side of the country in Maryland, and whenever I have the opportunity to visit home, my first stop out of the airport is always at El indio.
